Delinquent Blogger does POST!

Greetings ALL! My humble apologies for taking SOOOOOO long to post. I was stalling, hoping to get some wedding photos available, but haven't had any success yet, so they will be forthcoming. In the meantime, here is the calander of events:

March 19th: We leave for our trip to Fiji

March 20 something to 28th. We go to Fiji and have a WONDERFUL time diving (pictures will come as soon as we steal them from the other divers!).

MARCH 27!!! Lynne and Jay get Married in Fiji. Again the pictures will follow as soon as we steal them from the other divers. I accidentally deleted them from my camera, but we DO have a video that one of the other couples took. I just have to get the right cables to allow us to download. I will say, that it was a PERFECT day. We started off the morning with a dive. Before we got to the dive site, we were greeted with 4 pods of dolphins. It was an AMAZING sight! Our boat captain just drove around to the different pods while they were playing. No SeaWorld show could compare! After that we had our final wonderful dive in Fiji. The soft coral were all colors of orange, pink, purple, white... and we were in an area where we would pop our head up over the reef (where the current was swiftly flowing over) and saw a feeding world of the smaller colorful fish! All colors darting in and out, grabbing the food that flowed by. Wowwwwww.

Mar. 28th - Apr. 4th we go to Australia. Here we see lots of beautiful things on land and sea. We spent three nights on board a Mike Ball live aboard. The seas were a bit rough at this time of year but we still saw lots of fun things like the potatoe cod, white tip reef sharks and plenty of beautiful reef fish.
This is our WONDERFUL boat crew. A fun, professional (made sure everyone was ALWAYS accounted for after a dive), genuine group. And the food... Fantastic!!!

This is our group of divers, notice the newleyweds in the bottom right...

Here's a picture of my guy as he's 'stepping off' of the platform (about 10 feet above water) entry. I will get some picts from Jay and post them soon. He took some nice picts of our diving adventures. Noooo Jay.... don't j...u...m...p!!!

After the dive trip we did a little exploring in the upper Queensland region in the Daintree Rainforest area. It is the oldest rainforest on the planet and has some wonderful sights. We took a boat trip down the Daintree River with Chris Dahlberg. It was a really fun trip and Chris knows TONS about the area. One of the more spectacular things we saw were these 'Frogmouth' birds. They are well camoflauged so look CAREFULLY...

We also saw a python, a really cool spider (not a funnel web!), a crock in the water and lots of other birds. We also heard the kukaburra's laughing. Fun, fun, fun for an avid birder.

From Australia, we went to Japan to see Nicole and crew.
We timed it really well as the Sakura were in bloom. So we all went for a walk down to the park so Clark could see the Sakana (fish) and we could see the cherry blossoms. I love the look on Clarks face as Grandpa Jay keeps a watchful hand on our youthful fish observer.

And finally the blossoms. Enjoy

We will post the wedding photos and story when we get the picts.
