The Trip Out West

Now I will regress a little and cover the trip from Boston to Utah. Jay flew in on Valentines Day and gave me this really cute card : >. He had sent a dozen roses on Monday and I LOVED the fragrance they gave off in my office for the first three days. It was delightful! I gave them to my assistant Jaime after that. She told me later everyone kept asking her if her boyfriend gave them to her ; ).

The first leg of our trip we drove FIRST over to Elises house so that Jay could at least meet ONE of my New England friends. From there we popped on the Interstate and headed up to Buffalo and off to Niagra Falls! Jay had been there before but it was a FIRST for me!!!

Here we are at the American Falls. Notice the goofy 'holding the camera out to take our picture' expression on my(Lynne's) face - DOH. It was wet and VERY cold but very beautiful. The ice on the trees and the water was an amazing site!


We drove over to the Canadian side and looked at Niagra Falls from there! An even more spectacular view than the American Falls. What a terrific adventure, and I got to share it with the man I love. What more can a girl ask for??? After the falls we went and had a lovely dinner at a restaruant that overlooked the falls. We didn't have a view there, but after we ate, we walked down to one of the window to see the falls... nice to do from a heated enclosure!


The second day of our trip, we headed to the 'Land of Lincoln', Illinois. We stopped at Aurora and popped in on my friends Rich and Atsuko Madden. I didn't have their telephone number and it was getting late (we'd tried earlier but I mixed up one of the address numbers, so after I looked it up again on my computer, we ate, we headed back over and found them home (with some company)! It was SOOOOO wonderful seeing them again. I think Atsuko and I held each other for 5 minutes : >.
